कटहल (Jackfruit )
Scientific name :Artocarpus heterophyllus/Artocarpus integrifolia
कटहल के नाम :पनस,फलस,चम्पाकोश,कंटफल, फलबृक्षक,पूतफल ये कटहल के संस्कृत नाम हैं।
विवरण:बृक्ष बहुत बड़े बड़े होते हैं और इनपर फूल नहीं होते हैं ,फल भी बहुत बड़े आकार के और लकड़ी को फोड़कर आते हैं.फल हरे रंग के तथा ऊपर से नरम नरम कांटे होते हैं। फल हेमंत ऋतू के बाद आते हैं और एक एक फल लगभग २०-२० किलो तक के होते हैं।
गुण : पका फल शीतल,स्निग्ध ,पित्त तथा बात का नाश करने वाला , तृप्तिदायक, पुस्टिकरक, स्वादिस्ट,मांस को बढ़ाने वाला, अत्यंत कफकारक,बलदायक,वीर्यबर्धक,रक्त पित्त तथा व्रण विनाशक होता है।
कच्चा फल -ग्राही, बातकारक,कसैला,भारी,दाहकारक,मधुर,बलदायक,कफ तथा वसा (मेद) को बढ़ाने वाला होता है।
कटहल के बीज : वीर्य वर्धक ,मधुर,भारी,ग्राही और मूत्र को बढ़ाने वाला होता है।
कटहल की मींग : वीर्य वर्धक ,मधुर, भारी होता है तथा बात,पित्त और कफ का नाश करने वाला होता है।
विशेष : गुल्म रोगी व् मंदाग्नि वालो को कटहल खाना वर्जित है।
